My name is Carme, and I was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. I am developing my passion for Digital Trends (AI) and Research.

AI Governance, Cybersecurity, and Trust & Safety executive with 15+ years of experience across Big Tech, U.S. government, and academia. I’ve led global security operations, fraud prevention, and AI/ML risk initiatives at companies such as Google and Walmart Global Tech.

Most recently, initiatives supporting oversight of facial recognition and biometric systems, with a focus on AI governance, civil liberties, and risk mitigation.

My work sits at the intersection of AI risk, cybersecurity, investigations and regulation, with strong alignment to the EU AI Act, GDPR, and digital trust frameworks. I also contribute to graduate-level education in ethical AI, bridging policy, technology, and business strategy
